TheStorage is a Finnish startup solving a critical challenge in decarbonization: how to utilize intermittent renewable energy in industrial heat processes that require constant, high-temperature heat. Our sand-in-motion thermal energy storage is the missing piece that makes this possible. It enables industrial companies to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy in their heat production, drastically lowering both costs and emissions.

What you'll do

• Lead mechanical design strategy and team

• Lead plant layout design

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement

• Plan and participate in validation activities, including simulations, prototyping, and pilot plant testing

• Support procurement strategy and collaborate closely with suppliers and partners

• Coordinate manufacturing and quality assurance with external partners

• Ensure product and service safety throughout the product lifecycle

• Provide technical support for customer projects

What are we looking for

• Strong understanding of welded structure design and manufacturing processes

• Proven track record of leading mechanical design teams on schedule

• Solid knowledge of plant layout design and installation practices

• Innovative and proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

• Hands-on experience in validation activities (simulations, prototyping, testing) is considered an advantage.

• Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier collaboration.

• Good teamwork skills and passion for contributing to a fast-growing team and a continuously evolving business.
